Joan Doberstein
I am a pediatric occupational therapist and owner of Bloom OT and Wellness, LLC. I started this company to better serve families in the Bucks and Montco areas after becoming discouraged with the lack of options that were available to them. It will be difficult to encompass how much of an incredible occupational therapist Joan is in one paragraph, but I will try. She is an absolute expert in her craft. She meets children right where they are and effortlessly connects with them using her patience and warm demeanor. My child tended to be on the sensitive side and has experienced difficulty warming up to other adults, but she took to “Miss Joan” right away. When my child was with her, I was able to be at ease knowing that she was in the best hands. I can not recommend this woman enough. I can’t say enough about how amazing Miss Joan was for our family. Over the course of 4 years Joan helped to support both of our girls with a variety of struggles. She helped us with everything from nursing issues, sleep difficulties, selective eating, behavior management, and developing tools to support sensory needs. Joan was supportive, kind and firm in just the right ways with our children. She helped us develop better habits and routines that we could use with and without her. Joan always arrived with a new bag of tricks and my girls were always excited for her to arrive. During some very challenging times for our family, Joan provided support, comfort and reassurance to my husband and me. I still find myself asking, “what would Joan do?” during difficult times. We feel so fortunate to have Joan in our lives.
